What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file the site writes to your browser to remember information from one page to the next — for example, that you have already signed in, or which language you chose.
Which cookies we use
This site uses three kinds of cookie: the ones necessary for it to work, audience measurement, and advertising. The necessary ones are described just below; the other two in the sections that follow, with the service, the purpose and how to refuse.
- Session and authentication — keep you signed in to the customer area and protect forms against forged submissions. They expire when the session ends or within a few days.
- Language preference — record whether you are browsing in Portuguese, English or Spanish, so the site opens in the right language on your next visit.
These cookies are indispensable: without them, sign-in and switching language do not work. Because they are strictly necessary, they do not require prior consent.
Audience measurement
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to know how many people visit the site, which pages they go through and where they came from. The measurement is aggregate: it is there to understand the whole, not to identify who you are.
Advertising
We use the Google Ads tag to measure which ads led to an evaluation request, and to show Trauma Zer0 ads to people who have already visited the site. That is cross-site tracking, which is why it is declared here.
Chat support
The chat window is run by Tawk.to, which sets its own cookies to keep the conversation open from one page to the next. If you never open the chat, it collects nothing you typed — because nothing was typed.
How to control cookies
Every browser lets you see, block or delete cookies in its privacy settings. If you block this site’s cookies, public browsing still works, but access to the customer area stops working.
To refuse measurement and advertising only, without losing sign-in: the Google Analytics opt-out add-on turns measurement off on every site you visit, and Google’s ad settings control the use of your history for advertising. Blocking third-party cookies in the browser has the same effect on both.
